Position Summary
The Branch Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations, financial performance, business development, and staff management of the branch. This position ensures efficient title and escrow operations while maintaining compliance with Florida title insurance regulations, underwriter guidelines, and company policies. The Branch Manager is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, developing strategic relationships with real estate professionals, lenders, builders, and attorneys, and driving branch growth and profitability.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the branch, ensuring efficient title and escrow processing from contract to closing.
- Lead, coach, and develop branch employees to achieve operational excellence and exceptional customer service.
- Ensure compliance with all Florida title insurance regulations, company policies, underwriter requirements, and industry best practices.
- Monitor branch productivity, financial performance, budgets, and profitability.
- Recruit, train, evaluate, and retain high-performing employees.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with Realtors®, lenders, builders, attorneys, investors, and other referral partners.
- Develop and implement business development strategies to increase market share and revenue.
- Resolve complex title, escrow, and customer service issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Review closing files for accuracy and compliance before funding and recording.
- Ensure timely preparation and issuance of title commitments, policies, and closing documents.
- Monitor escrow accounting procedures and ensure proper handling of trust funds.
- Maintain branch quality control standards and minimize operational risk.
- Prepare operational and financial reports for executive management.
- Foster a positive, collaborative, and customer-focused work environment.
- Represent the company at networking events, industry associations, and community functions.
- Stay informed of changes in Florida real estate law, title insurance regulations, and market trends.
Qualifications
- High school diploma required; Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Real Estate, or related field preferred.
- Florida Title Agent License preferred or required, depending on company policy.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in title insurance, escrow, or real estate closing operations.
- Minimum of 2 years of leadership or management experience.
- Strong understanding of Florida title insurance practices, escrow procedures, and real estate transactions.
- Experience with title production software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Proven ability to build client relationships and grow business through networking and community involvement.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
